   Gemini is ruled by Mercury, and its symbol is the Twins.  Gemini is an Air sign, analytical and ever-changing. Intelligent, sociable, communicative, and non-conforming are the qualities that best describe those born under the sign of  Gemini.

Geminis seek knowledge and information due to the influence of Mercury. It is their nature to want to share their knowledge with everyone making them very good at conversation. Their lively imagination and spirit allows them to jump from one topic to another while they keep an audience riveted by their charm, originality, and mental agility.

On the flip side, Gemini is often moody and unpredictable, hence the double sided aspect of their personality. They constantly seek variety and need new stimulation, and can be prone to depression, whether that need is satisfied or not. Any dark mood quickly swings back to the light because their energy and nimble thinking usually thrusts them into a new direction. The negative side of the personality Gemini is their constant disregard for the status quo and authority – breaking the rules is their motto, which may sometimes go against their own best interests.
